Software we use on our website that affects you
We use Google Analytics – a third party service provided by, well, Google – to gather details about visitor behaviour – how long visitors spend on different pages, where, geographically, visitors originate from, how many pages they visit etc. We use it because we want to know what visitors like and don’t like – really important information to help us generate more visits and ultimately new business.
Don’t worry: we can’t identify you from this information, we won’t ever make any attempt to do so, and we don’t allow Google to do so either. Everything we track through Google Analytics is completely anonymous.
Everything we track through HubSpot is completely anonymous – until you fill out a form on our site – at that point, unless you’ve deleted your cookies or refused the HubSpot cookie when first visiting our site, your browsing history on our site is associated with your contact record and stored in HubSpot.
We have installed a Facebook Pixel (a funky little bit of code) on our website to track conversions from Facebook ads, optimise these ads based on user information, remarket to qualified leads, and help build better, more relevant audiences for future ads. Information we collect from Facebook includes detail on visitor behaviour – how long visitors spend on different pages, where, geographically, visitors originate from, how many pages they visit etc.
If you sign up to receive emails from us, we’ll securely collect and store the personal information you provide e.g. your name, email address and phone number. We’ll use it to communicate with you about things you explicitly opted in to hearing about and to ask for additional information if and when required.
We use a third-party provider, HubSpot (as mentioned above), to deliver our emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see HubSpot’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe from mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Luke Budka.
Again, we don’t sell, rent, or trade email lists, so you don’t have to worry about us giving your data to some sentient spambot.

What is a cookie?

Google Analytics and HubSpot collect anonymous information via cookies added to your browser when you visit our site. We do not ask your permission to use these cookies because all collected information is anonymous.
However, if you fill out a form on our site, HubSpot will associate your previous page views based on the tracking cookie.
If you delete the cookies in your browser, you will be considered a new visitor and will be assigned a new cookie. However, HubSpot will automatically deduplicate form submissions coming from the same email address, even if different browser cookies were associated with the submissions.
When someone visits our website and takes an action like completing a form, visiting a specific page or watching a video, the Facebook pixel is triggered and reports this action back to our Facebook account. This enables us to show the most relevant content and advertise to you and other people like you (for example people who may be the same age as you, work in the same industry or come from the same location) on Facebook.
The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, which is why we are informing you, based on our knowledge of the situation.
Facebook may link this information to your Facebook account and also use it for its own promotional purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Usage Policy (www.facebook.com/about/privacy).
Because of this, we ask when you first arrive at our site, whether you’re happy for us to share the information we collect when you’re browsing our site, with Facebook, via an opt in checkbox.
