TopLine Comms takes a stand (two in fact!) at this year’s Festival of Marketing
Not all marketing events are created equal. Some are seriously dull and salesy with weak tea and too much air con. Others are little more fabulous, full of spirt and colour with delicious coffee, interesting people and…ice-cream!
Last week’s Festival of Marketing (FOM) was more fab than dull – and yet, in true event fashion, the indoor air control was set to Arctic. Why people why?! Undeterred, TopLine Comms was there in full force with not one, but two stands. Our video production team wowed the crowds with virtual reality headsets, immersing curious audiences in all the wonder and magic of our 360° skills. And our integrated marketing team showcased our award-winning PR, SEO and content marketing abilities – while handing out very yummy ice-creams!
Some thoughts from our team on the floor:
“There were some interesting talks. I was fascinated to discover how GAME used augmented reality to get more people into their stores during the Christmas holidays last year. It was also cool to hear how the British Library restructured and reused its existing content to draw people to their website.” - Dom Daly
“The event was really good. There were some great speakers; Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, headlined which was very exciting. Loads of cool consumer brands and B2B companies were present which made for some interesting conversations – everyone is looking for ideas and inspiration.” - Lauren Martens
“There were lots of interesting marketers at the event who gave us some great feedback - looking forward to doing business with some of the exciting companies we met.” - Luke Budka
“I went to a fascinating talk on e-sports and how a real football club is going to use the technology to enhance its brand image. I even (half) met a professional FIFA player!” – Tom Pallot
“The festival’s organisers were super-jacked and a real pleasure to work with before, during and after the event. Thank you Sofia and Georgie.” – Nancy Rees
